About Me

Hi, I’m Tim. I grew up in Neenah, WI. When I was seven, my father died unexpectedly, an experience which has helped me relate with others experiencing deep loss and challenging transitions.

I attended UW Oshkosh where I majored in Sociology. After college I spent four months in Brazil doing mission work. My eyes were opened to experience other cultures, and I learned about God’s love and sufficiency in new ways. I met my wife a couple of years after college. Soon we were married and moved to Dallas so I could pursue my Masters in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. We will celebrate our 18th anniversary this year. I marvel at God, his work and his creation. I enjoy dating my beautiful wife, time with our kids, family vacations, biking, golf, and home improvement projects.

I specialize in working with adults facing relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, addiction, trauma and PTSD. I have worked as a residential therapist, addressing combined substance abuse and mental health issues, and I have counseled individuals, couples and have led various diverse groups, family, and multi-family therapy sessions.

I am a Certified Brainspotting Therapist. Along with completing Brainspotting Phases One and Two, I have also training in ImageSpotting and Cultural Competency for Emergency Responders & Their Families. I also utilize Polyvagal Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and teach skills for effectively navigating challenges such as anxiety and panic attacks.

I am honored to meet with people facing all sorts of obstacles: depression, anxiety, fears, grief and loss, feeling stuck in life, trapped in addictions and navigating challenging relationships. Life doesn’t always make sense and you may be feeling lost and broken. I desire to guide you with wisdom and grace and walk with you as you navigate life’s challenges.

I am a Christian psychotherapist. While my beliefs impact and shape the work I do with clients, I often work with people in therapy who do not share my beliefs. It is my desire to help you regardless of your spiritual orientation.
