I’m glad you’re here. Your decision to consider counseling is a big one, and it’s my desire that you gain hope and encouragement in the process.
My approach to counseling is a blend of finding meaning, realizing potential, and examining life experiences to achieve a greater understanding of what one is going through. I believe people are ultimately responsible for their choices but that family, community, and childhood experiences influence them.
I take a positive approach to addressing problems. I believe that people are resilient and have tremendous abilities to address life’s challenges. I also take a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach, recognizing clients have inherent abilities and are able to develop new ones.
